Replacment Cermaic Cartridge filter media by Aqua One, compatible with all Xpression, Aqua Nano and Cube 15 aquariums.
Ceramic cartridges perform an important function within a biological filtration system. They provide a surface upon which important nitrifying bacteria can flourish.
These cartridges should be cleaned monthly using aquarium water. After a while they will clog up and rinsing them will not sufficiently clear the debris. At this point the cartridge should be replaced. As a guide, in our experience this happens after around 4 months of constant use.
